DESCRIPTION

a) Leading the entire Piping Engineering activities to carry out Piping design work based on standard company procedure / other procedures, and methods outlined. b) Timely completion of designs, requisitions, and engineering deliverables. c) Technical guidance to Piping Engineers and Designers to carry out piping design work as per the requirements of the Project. d) Adherence to Dept./Discipline Working Instructions and Quality Systems. e) Overview of work progress and work-hour usage. f) Working within company budgets / Schedules / Safe Practices g) Meet client expectations and maintaining long-term relationship with clients. Attend to client’s feedback and any complaints.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering Discipline with minimum 18+ years of experience in Design Engineering. • Detailed Piping engineering activities for industrial plants covering required design calculations, MTOs, Piping Material Specifications, various types of layouts, procurement activity for piping items covering preparation of enquiry specification, review of quotes and preparation of TR, preparation of order specifications, review of vendor drawings, review of piping content for mechanical packages. Knowledge about 3D software packages like S3D/ P3D/ E3D etc. is mandatory • Should have handled more than1 Lacs hour Project. • Should have handled Projects & Piping Design on 3D independently with participation in model reviews. • Knowledge on Stress Analysis and working on Hygienic Design shall be an added advantage. • Piping Engineering activities to carry out Piping design work based on standard company procedure / other procedures, methods outlined.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Review technical requirements of client’s specifications and ensure that agreement is reached on the basis of design. Participate in discussions with the client, as necessary. Monitor that work and progress are in compliance with the project requirements and schedule. Maintain contact with other disciplines/groups to ensure: a) Project Manager and/or Engineer are aware of problems of progress delays. b) Proper interchange of information. c) Proper interchange of documents d) Interface is correctly defined.
